I love meatloaf. My kids? Not so much. So, I decided to try and make it a little more fun for them to eat. There is much room for improvement on the idea but here is a quick guide on how we made our meatloaf wreath.
1. Grease bundt pan. Alot. If you don't, the meatloaf will stick to the side and you'll end up with more of a meatloaf-dump-cake. Not pretty nor appetizing.
2. Put colorful 'toppings' for your wreath in the bottom of the pan. We choose a little ketchup and cooked spinach. Cranberries, green olives, radishes and celery are some options we may try next time.
3. Fill pan with your favorite meatloaf recipe. We added a little cooked spinach to ours to boost the color (and our health!).
4. Bake at 350 degrees for about an hour.
5. Pour grease out of the pan then flip onto plate.
6. Decorate the top!
Place greenery on the serving plate such as rosemary, chives or parsley!
